Video 4: Cutting out the "Yuck"

In this video:

  • The last step is to cut out things and people who have a neutral or negative influences in your life. This could be your job, certain friends, or sometimes even family members you need a break from. You can eventually try to re-integrate them, but your priority right now is your own personal happiness.

  • Friend or partner break-up

    • Whether you need to take a break from a boyfriend, girlfriend or a friend, it’s important to have an upfront conversation. It’s the respectful thing to do.

Action steps:

  • Identify things that don’t contribute positively to my life (then take them off your calendar)

  • Invite those friends to coffee and explain why you “need a break”; be honest.
